Eugenio Bregolat

Ambassador of Spain in Andorra

Eugenio Bregolat (La Seu d’Urgell, 1943), graduate in Law, began a diplomatic career in 1971. He was Director General of the International Department in the cabinets of Adolfo Suárez and Leopoldo Calvo Sotelo (1978 to 1982). He was Ambassador to Indonesia, Canada, Russia and twice, exceptionally, to China (1987-1991 and 1999-2003), and Political Director (in charge of coordinating the common foreign policy with members of the EU) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At present he is Spanish Ambassador to Andorra.
