Cinzia Alcidi

Dr. Cinzia Alcidi was born on 8th of May 1974 in Italy. She is Research Fellow at Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels since February 2009. Before joining CEPS, she worked as research assistant and teaching assistant at Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies of Geneva.
Since arriving at CEPS she has worked extensively with Daniel Gros on the macroeconomic aspects of the financial crisis and its policy implications. On this topic they recently published:
- “Why Europe will Suffer More” (Intereconomics July/August 2009), and
- “What Lessons from the 1930s?” (CEPS Working Document N.312 May 2009)
Education: Mrs Alcidi holds a Ph.D. in International Economics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva (Switzerland).
